A&E is the department that takes care of medical, surgical and trauma emergencies. It is a vital section in health care delivery, being the first point of call by patients with acute emergency problems.
The A&E of Federal Medical Center Keffi, with keffi being on a high way and its proximity to the Federal Capital Territory, receives quite a large volume of patients with emergency cases.
The staff working under A&E comprises of the Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacist, Lab Scientist, Attendants, Scientific Officers and Administrative staff.
The department also receives resident doctors from surgery, Orthopedic, Family Medicine and Internal Medicine for residency postings. We also receive intern Nurses for internship.
