MD/CE Offically Flagged Off COVID-19 Vaccination in FMC Keffi

The Medical Director/CE, FMC Keffi, Dr. Yahaya Adamu, The Management Staff and The Emir of Keffi, HrH, Alh. Dr. Chindo Yamusa III, have offically flagged off the vaccination of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.The MD/CE used the opportunity to call on the Hospital Community and general public to register and take jabs.He also urged everyone to drop the fear of safety concerns about the vaccine as there is no contrary opinion from the regulatory body, National Agency for Food, Drugs, Administration and Control in the country.The flag off exercise which took place at the ANC Hall of the hospital at about 11:30am, featured the Medical Director, Management Staff and the Emir of Keffi taking their first doses of the jabs while other members of staff are to follow subsequent…

NCDC Donates Isolation and Treatment Centre to FMC Keffi

The National Centre for Disease (NCDC) on the 4th December, 2020 donated an Isolation and Treatment Centre to the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi. At the commissioning and handing over of the facility, Dr. Chikwe Ihkweazu, the Director General of NCDC appreciated the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire for being present at the event and for the support received so far from the ministry. He urged the centre and the community to make judicious use of the facility for covid-19 related cases and infectious diseases. He said the facility is purposely located in a strategic location for easy accessibility of people within the hosting and neighboring states as well as he tasked the community to form hands with the hospital's management in maintaining the facility. Three New Buildings Commissioned In FMC Keffi

In a struggle to emerge as a centre of excellence in health care delivery, the management of Federal Medical Centre, Keffi commissioned three new buildings which include; Medical Laboratory Expansion, VIP Amenity and Haemodialysis centre on 8th December, 2020. The Director General National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) paid an Unscheduled Visit to FMC Keffi.

Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu recently (9/10/2020) was at the Centre to familiarize himself with the activities currently on going especially with the Global Pandemic otherwise known as Covid 19. Receiving him on arrival with few of his entourage was ushered into the Centre's Boardroom by the Head of Clinical Services Dr. Christopher Ejikeme Edeh along side members of Management. Meanwhile, after a brief ceremony he was taken to the New Isolation Centre, which is about 95 percent in it's completion stage, as we hope to receive once again in the year this august Guest who arrived in October for the official commissioning of this edifice at the end of the year (2020).

The only Premier Federal Government Tertiary health institution (FMC Keffi) played host to a special August visitor in the month of July, 16th July, 2020 His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Nasarawa, Engr Abdullahi.
